Week 2: Composition
In this weeks session we had a brief overview on composition.
Composition describes the arrangements of objects in an image or artwork. It is a way of guiding the viewer's eye towards the most significant parts of your image. Having a strong composition can help make a visually attractive photograph while having a boring objects in a plain setting. On the other hand, a weak composition can destroy a photograph despite how interesting it could be.
The rule of thirds will help to aid your composition. The principle of this is to break your image down into thirds horizontally and vertically so that you have 9 parts. The idea is that if you place your subject of interest in a third of you image, the photo becomes more balanced and will enable a viewer to find it more visually pleasing.
